So, I broke down and tried on a darn [tag]Spanx[/tag] bra today. If you don’t know about Spanx, you are either a) not a woman or b) not up on current things. Here is the story: [tag]Sara Blakely, a girl from Atlanta[/tag], gets tired of her panty hose back in the 1990′s. She cuts out the feet of her hose, does a little stitching and voila, comes up with the idea of “footless body shaping Pantyhose.” Well, now, this gazillionaire has a company that makes all sorts of things that are form fitting and comfy for women and she also is fabulous enough to run her own Foundation.
Anyway, so I tried the bra on reluctantly because they cost $62.00 friggin dollars…but alas, it was amazing and I can’t imagine life without it now. Okay, that was a bit dramatic, but it feels great. Go buy one – that is if you are a woman or a man who needs one.
The second part of the story goes like this: I am in line at the Dilliard’s Intimate Clothing Department when I get into this conversation with a lady who is discussing interest rates on credit cards. And man, is she mad! She tells me about a Chase card that she has that she has really no balance on it – and they keep charging her a monthly bill of $1.00. Now, I don’t understand this whole explanation – but I do know she lets me look at the bill and I am horrified that this lady has a credit card from Chase where the interest rate has gone up to 239% . Yes, you read that correctly. I could not believe the APR on this card was that high! So, I took a picture of it and here it is. Moral of story, keep tabs on your credit card and what they are charging you – especially if you do not spend a lot on it right now.
*Sorry about the focus of the camera. I was shaking at the thought of an APR this high!
