Do Dad’s Garage

Have you been? Have you ever spent an evening at Dad’s Garage?  Well, you should go.  We spent Friday night there enjoying the seasonal play, “Invasion: Christmas Carol” where a human dressed as a hotdog came onto stage in many scenes during the classic play to mess with the actors.  Delightful.

Oh, it seems they need some volunteers.  And who doesn’t want to get laid?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Enjoy church (or the Cheetah)!

Kudos

Pretty witty if I say so myself.

My Trashy City Part 2

I am in a horrid mood today.  So, I figure I will take my wrath out on the City of Atlanta and The State of Georgia and many of its residents for the amount of trash being thrown out on our streets.

This past weekend, East Lake Golf Club sponsored the Fed Ex Cup of the PGA Tournament.   Many many people were “bussed in” from Turner Stadium to East Lake for the tournament- and what did they get to see?  They got to see loads and loads of trash coming onto and off of the Maynard Terrace Exit of I-20.  It makes me sick.   The PGA brings millions of dollars into this city and state and this is what we have to show for it.  Bravo, Atlanta.  Bravo.

Since When…?

Krog Tunnel’s Latest Art

I must confess that this possibly could be the best graffiti Krog Tunnel artists have offered us in years.  Thanks to my friend, Erika, for taking this fabulous photo this morning.  Priceless.

Boycotting the AJC

 ajcreach.jpg

I started getting annoyed at the [tag]AJC – or more officially, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution[/tag] a few months because the amount of grammar errors and lack of editing I started noticing in the newspaper.   They seem to have gotten rid of most of their good editors.  In the meantime, I started watching individuals with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths – driving seriously beat up old cars  – throwing this thing called the AJC Reach out their windows.  Now, this “advertisement paper” is wrapped in plastic and usually lands in the street not anywhere close to a home.  And if they do land in a driveway, most stay there until they disintegrate or are finally picked up by the owner of the home (or others).

In the last two weeks, I have picked up a whopping 32 [tag]AJC Reach[/tag] advertisement pieces of trash in a 6 block radius.  The AJC should be proud to know that some of these were from 6 weeks ago.   So, I have had it up to here (I am putting my arm way above my head in this mental photo) and am now officially boycotting the AJC.  I won’t read it on line and I certainly won’t buy it.

It seems I am not the only one who is doing this.  [tag]There is an entire blog dedicated to boycotting the AJC Reach advertisers[/tag].  Wow – people are pissed off.  AND THEY SHOULD BE.  We have enough litter in our city.  Eesh.  Drives me batty.

No Shame

I love this.  I think I shall call them.

Concert Night

I forgot to put this up – but loved it.  Taken at the [tag]My Morning Jacket concert at Chastain Amphitheater[/tag] – this was obviously a night that Chastain did not allow picnics inside the venue…

I am sure the cops loved this evening.

Hungry Roofers in Atlanta

 hungryroofer.jpg

You can’t see this photo very well, so I apologize about that…but these [tag]“Hungry Roofers”[/tag] are legit and have their own website.  What I don’t like about them is the fact that they put up crappy looking posters along Atlanta’s highways and main streets.  I think they should take out real advertisements rather than trashing up our city with these bright green and orange posters.

I wonder if we are supposed to actually feed the roofer when he comes and to fix a roof?
