Do Dad’s Garage

Have you been? Have you ever spent an evening at Dad’s Garage?  Well, you should go.  We spent Friday night there enjoying the seasonal play, “Invasion: Christmas Carol” where a human dressed as a hotdog came onto stage in many scenes during the classic play to mess with the actors.  Delightful.

Oh, it seems they need some volunteers.  And who doesn’t want to get laid?

Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points – Ever Been?

Don’t be frightened by the cheesy title – “The Water Coolers: An Office Musical.”  This “musical” now playing at the Horizon Theatre in [tag]Little Five Points[/tag] does not involve men in tights carrying water coolers on their heads while singing “Where’s My Fax?” in falsetto.  It is not that kind of musical.  It is more like if all the employees at my Bank of America branch office randomly decided to burst into song over their boss’s new I-Phone.  Full of all the painfully true stereotypes of the office environment, the playwright must have actually served some time in the cubes.  And the Horizon Theatre with its intimate setting makes every seat a good seat.  (Plus they have really good cookies.)  Mix up your night life with a little office cube musical comedy before this show ends on November 11th.
