Alison Grounds

Alison is an attorney who can tell you everything you ever need to know about E-Discovery. What’s that you ask? Feel free to ask her! She works long hours for The Man and enjoys nice home cooked meals made by her lover. Alison loves tennis, walking her dogs, and holding Little Girl like a baby every night before bedtime. She had a blast rating cocktails in our 52 Weeks of Drinks, but now she is ready to take on Atlanta’s restaurant scene to the test with a fried chicken cook-off. Often known as the wittier of the two writers on Random Atlanta, Alison is ready for more blogging!

Ashley Derrick

Ashley is an Atlanta realtor by day and a bully breed savior by night. Well, really not at night because she is sleeping – but she does love educating people about misunderstood pitbulls and other bully breeds. Forlorn dogs in need of rescue seem to follow her home and are on every corner, which she can hardly ignore. Ashley and Alison have saved more than 40 dogs from the mean streets and overflowing shelters in Atlanta. Her other hobbies include eating out, drinking a nice glass of wine, taking yoga from Marlysa, and walking her pups, Big Boy Brutus and Little Girl.

BBB is an outstanding specimen of a dog, this American Pitbull Terrier and American Bulldog mix was found on the streets 7 years ago. He gained notoriety as a finalist in Atlanta Magazine’s 2010 Pet of the Year contest. BBB is best known for his constant craving of attention and getting his ears cleaned three times daily by Little Girl. He loves to be rubbed, sleep on the bed all day, and has decided that he is too old and lazy to walk any more than 6 blocks. He prefers to save his energy for a daily wild hair with his sister, Little Girl.

Little Girl

Never has there been a more grateful dog. After being rescued, nearly starving to death, in Atlanta, Little Girl has not once looked back. Playful, in love with her brother, BBB, and always happy to cuddle, this sweet American Pitbull Terrier mix is full of love. Her pastimes include: cleaning Brutus’s ears, stealing food from the cat’s bowl, and laying like a baby in her mama Alison’s arms. Don’t underestimate this small pup, Little Girl has a huge heart, and is completely loyal and loving.
