About Us

Ashley is an Atlanta-based Realtor with an addiction to Mezcalitos in Oakhurst and a serious weakness for rescuing puppy dogs (especially pitbulls). Her partner is Alison the attorney and her dogs are Brutus and Little Girl. Alison is an Atlanta attorney who hopes that her blogging about Atlanta will not be too much of a slight to her home town of Gonzales, Louisiana - the Jambalaya Capitol of the World! Atlanta has more theaters and doggy day care spots, but Gonzales has better Jambalaya and cheaper beer. Brutus is a very pampered dog who likes riding in the car all over Atlanta with his head hanging out of the window and his and tongue flapping in the air, absorbing the smells. He loves lying on the bed without permission and running next door to find scraps of food left by one of the children we live by.  He gets along well with our cats, loves his Little Girl, and unfortunately has a penchant for humping the legs of tall men. Little Girl was rescued almost dead (seriously) in November of 07. Even though we vowed we would never get another dog, Little Girl won our hearts - and Big Boy Brutus’s. Little Girl is the happiest dog we know and loves all animals. She especially loves her big brother and is nicknamed “Shitcan” because she is so naughty. Little Girl enjoys barking at the kids next door, walking, playing with other pups, eating cat poop, and lying on Alison’s lap in the evenings. She is one grateful dog.
