Public Transportation Anyone?

I’d say this is a scary scene.  Looks like my Prius may not get any gas soon…I think I will be walking, riding my bike, or taking Marta places.  Buck up, folks.  It ain’t getting better any time soon.

I don’t know how long we’ll be looking at those bags – makes us all feel rather powerless about the situation, doesn’t it – but there is a silver lining to the current situation.

The Clean Air Campaign will pay $3 a day for three months to anyone willing to try one of the alternatives you mentioned. Now’s a great time to start walking, riding a bike or taking transit because even stations with gas are charging $4-a-gallon or more! But the cost of gas is only pat of the story.

Our commute cost calculator can also help you figure out how much you could save by using a clean commute. Let’s face it, when the shortage is over, gas will still likely be around $3.50 a gallon, which is pretty pricey. It might not be getting better any time soon, but we can decide to take control of the situation and use alternatives to driving alone while the laws of supply and demand duke it out.

WOW, this post is 1 week old and look at Atlanta today! This weekend was a nightmare. I already took advantage of the clear air campaign’s “free cash” as I call it. $3 a day. If I didn’t take MARTA before, I certain would now!!
