October Adopt-A-Dog Month
October 10, 2007
Loads and loads of dogs every year face euthanization because humans like Ashley and Alison don’t adopt them. That is why I wanted to write about October being the American Humane Association’s Adopt a Dog Month. There are so many great shelters in Atlanta that are overflowing with pups in need - who may not be as cute as me - but who need a loving home. There is a pup in our neighborhood, Buster, who needs adopting. His picture is showcased below. If you would like to help him, please contact his foster parent at aatosca@bellsouth.net.
Other than that, please visit these great shelters for more information about adopting pups in Atlanta. Atlanta Pet Rescue, Paws Atlanta, and Atlanta Humane Society. There are many others, but these are the ones I chose to highlight.
I hope someone ends up taking Buster. He is a good, sweet boy who likes kids, laps, and walking.

Brutus, does that mean you want Ashley and Alison to go out and adopt a little brother for you this weekend? You could get along with buster, right?

Thanks for mentioning the Atlanta Humane Society, as well as some other great places to get dogs this month, and every month. The AHS for sure has lots of healthy, happy dogs who just need a bit of structure and training (which AHS has at a bargain), and they’ll make great pets. Some are big, some are small, some are goofy, some are calm, and all just want a new “pack” that will care for them.
WOOF!
